It's been HOW LONG??

Oh it's only been 15 months since my last post :) Guess life got the best of me for a bit! Hmm.. let's see. What to catch you up on? Our 'little' Marley will be turning 3 on Saturday. Quite the little girl, (Literally, she's a teeny 27 pounds and still in 2T) with quite a BIG attitude! She started a Montessori pre-school just over a year ago, and now has the vocabulary of a 5 year old! She keeps us on our toes!

We are still in the same house, still doing projects.. if you've been over lately, you know. And no, my kitchen is STILL not painted ;)

Professionally, Adam has left Keller Williams and is now at Remax Unlimited. I am now a licensed Agent and together we work out of the Legend Hills Office Building in Clearfield. It's definitly been a year of changes.. but we have taken them in stride, and continue to push on!
We've seen some friends get married, little ones be born and sadly some break ups.. but all in all it has been an awesome 15 months..

I'd also like to say 'Congrats' to Aunt Angela & Clark .. they were married on May 31st @ Snowbasin. It was a lovely wedding! I'll start with these...

ThE BiG OnE!

So, it started about a month ago.. I started FREAKIN OUT! It was as if my life was flashing before my eyes..15 years of memories, the good, the bad & the not so pretty were keeping me up at night, my hair was losing it's shine.. I gained 5 pounds! Sounds like a mid life crisis doesn't it?? Nope, just my 30th birthday creepin' up on me. Ok, so it's not as bad as I thought it would be.. I'm actually very happy with where I am in my life. I have a wonderful & loving husband, who will do anything for his family, I have a beautiful, funny, inspiring daughter, great friends and wonderful family! I am thankful for all of it, and I must say.. I feel a tad "adult"? HA! LIFE IS GOOD!

We started the night @ Kristauf's Martini Bar in SLC, while we waited for our table @ the yummy Takashi's..

Then we headed to the Hilton in Layton.. Good Times!


No, this wasn't just for me.. although it was my Birthday!

Every other year for Thanksgiving, we are fortunate enough to visit Adam's mom aka: my great mother in law & her husband Brian aka: the world's youngest Grandpa.. in California. It's an unconventional holiday, with the Turkey spread on Saturday, and ham on Thursday.. 80 degree weather, campfires, dunebuggys, beer, horseshoes, motorhomes, golfing, poker and tons of family and friends. Everyone gathers in the desert to celebrate.. This was Marley's first year and she had a BLAST! Thank you Great Grandma Margy & Great Grandpa Squeak, as well as Brian, Jody & Zach for making our vacation such a wonderful time!

The people have spoken. I have never been so moved by an election of any kind. I have never been so involved in something so big. I am just one person.. but you put an entire city, state or country filled with 'just one persons' and you get a very big result. It is not only amazing to see a black man elected President of the United States, it is amazing to see the the crowds in Chicago, Harlem, New York, Los Angeles and countless cities across the world, filled with black, white, asian, mexican, men & women.. all have come together. That is an amazing feeling. I am proud to be apart of this moment in history and will remember this night always.

Ohh.. Marley was the cutest bee in town! It was a little more trying than I imagined, doing Halloween with a 16 month old.. but once she saw the other kids and got to hold her 'bag' she was as cute as can bee! ;)
